Ensure a healthy client environment by replacing complexity with simplicity and insights. Simplicity and insights are the key factors in becoming successful with Endpoint security.

Real World Use of Windows Defender Application Control

Have you tried WDAC with ConfigMgr couldn’t get it to work? Think it can’t be done? Come learn from Kim Oppalfens about managed installers and inside secrets to ConfigMgr’s implementation you can (ab)use to get going. We’ll show how we managed to deploy WDAC in enforced mode on a challenging set of devices, with quite a few different pieces of software installed.

CM Scripts and Toast – Paul Wetter

This session will be an overview of CM Scripts. Their advantages and limitations.  From there, I’ll dive into a script I wrote recently that uses CM Scripts for delivery of time-sensitive notifications to end-users via Windows Toasts.  This will include the tricks I used to overcome some of the limitations of scripts.

Patching The Remote World – Jordan Benzing

Patching was going pretty well for you. All you’re users came into the office, turned their computers on did their work, and then shut their computers off and went home for the day. Maybe you even had maintenance windows, or Wake On Lan configured to patch them. Now it’s been 8 months since you’ve last seen them, and they haven’t even called. How do you get them back into management, what can you do to avoid saturating VPN solutions? What can you do now if your users are back in the office to avoid this being a problem ever again?

Proactive Remediation Deep Dive – Jan Ketil Skanke

With Endpoint Analytics in Intune, we also got the awesome feature Proactive Remediations allowing you to perform compliance item/baseline type jobs across all Windows managed devices. In this session, we will not only look at the power of these features but also the underlying components, how to trace the running of the detection and remediation script, troubleshooting, and more.

Wild, Wild WaaS – How COVID and the pandemic lockdown spurred me on to re-engineer our WaaS delivery and make the switch to Feature Updates – Mike Marable

COVID forced close to ¾ of our staff working from home we needed a new way to complete our build to build Windows 10 upgrades. With no CMG, no “always on” VPN,  and no Intune, plus the inability to reliably run our original IPU task sequence over our on-demand VPN, we had to come up with something new.  I had to step away from the IPU task sequence, get outside of my comfort zone, and as scary as that may be, move to Feature Updates.

Windows Hello for Business: why you should deploy it. – Steve Hosking

In this session, we will talk about the Why you should deploy Windows Hello for Business, while also explaining the high level concepts on how to implement it.
